We are a broker, not a lender

Welcome Finance is a commercial finance broker. We do not lend money, and we do not make lending decisions. We introduce businesses to lenders and funders that may be able to help. Any finance offered is provided by the lender, under the lender’s own terms.

The finance we arrange

We only arrange unregulated commercial finance for business purposes. Our services are only for the following UK businesses:

•        UK limited companies

•        limited liability partnerships (LLPs)

•        partnerships with four or more partners

Each lender on our panel sets its own minimum trading period. We do not arrange finance for individuals or partnerships of fewer than four partners, and we do not arrange mortgages, commercial mortgages or property finance.

Because the finance we arrange is unregulated, Consumer Credit Act and FCA consumer credit protections do not apply. Please read any finance agreement carefully and take independent advice if you are unsure.

Our panel of lenders

We work with a panel of lenders and funders. We do not search the whole market, so other finance may be available that we cannot offer. We are happy to tell you which lenders are on our panel for the type of finance you need.

We have no ownership links with any lender on our panel.

How we are paid

Commission from lenders. When finance completes, we usually receive a commission from the lender. The amount may be:

•        a percentage of the amount borrowed

•        a fixed amount

Commission can differ between lenders and products. This may affect the cost of your finance, for example where a lender pays a higher commission on a higher rate. Commission levels are not the deciding factor in which lenders we approach, and you can ask us how much we will receive.

You can ask us at any time how much commission we will receive, and we will tell you before you sign. Please ask us, and we will tell you the amount or how it is worked out before you sign any agreement.

Broker fees.We do not charge your business a fee for our service.

No guarantee of finance

We cannot guarantee that finance will be offered. Lenders make their own decisions, carry out their own checks and set their own terms. Lenders may run credit checks on your business and on its directors, partners or guarantors.

Personal guarantees and security

Many lenders ask for a personal guarantee from directors or partners, or for security over business assets. If the business cannot repay, the people giving a guarantee may become personally liable, and assets given as security may be at risk. Please make sure you understand these terms and take independent legal advice before you sign.

We do not give advice

We provide information about finance options and lenders. We do not give financial, legal, tax or accounting advice. You should take independent professional advice before making financial decisions.

Website content

Our calculators, guides and articles are for general information only. Calculator results are estimates, not quotes or offers. Rates, costs and terms are set by the lender and depend on your business’s circumstances.
